Land Practice/ Lower Back

I have some bad habits I am trying to correct and have been practicing proper body position on land with a ski handle tied to a pole. Particularly, I am practicing keeping my hips up while simulating the proper stance while crossing the wake.

Here's my question.

Should I be feeling strain in my lower back while doing this?

Re: Land Practice/ Lower Back

No. You should feel no strain at all on dry land. If you are straining on dry land, you will ski with excessive load on the water. You can keep your hips up in the proper stance and feel near 100% relaxed on land. Just hang there...
