TeamTigé Skier Chris Rossi Earns Podium at the World Championships of Water Skiing

Rossi_3 Abilene, Texas – September 6, 2007 – TeamTigé skier Chris Rossi continued his success and placed third at the World Championships on September 2nd in Linz, Austria.  Skiers from 42 nations competed at the IWSF World Championships of Water Skiing.

The men’s slalom competition had 65 skiers and out of the 65 Rossi tied for 1st in the qualifying round.  Twelve men competed on Sunday in the finals and Rossi captured 2 buoys at 10.25m securing his position in the finals.  “It is a great feeling to compete against the best water skiers from different nations around the world,” said Rossi.  The score of 2 buoys at 10.25m forced him to have a ski off against Jeff Rogers of the USA competing for number two and three positions.  In the end Rossi took home the bronze medal.

Rossi has performed incredibly this season.  When Rossi is not competing he trains daily behind his Tigé 20i.

Re: 2007 Worlds

Right from the LCQ to get into the Masters, Chris hasn't missed a beat.  It's been a deep field with tough competition too.
