DFT Measurement for 66" MPD

Hi, was just wondering how the recomended .74" DFT is measured on a 2007 66" MPD. I saw somewhere that it was with the head of the caliper flat against the base, and somewhere else that it was with the end of the needle part. If anyone knows this, it would be super helpful, thank you very much.

Use the head of the caliper flat against the base.  What binding and fin setting are you planning on running?

Re: DFT Measurement for 66" MPD

Thank you. Running stock settings so far with Approaches at 29 7/8", 6.85" length, 2.48" depth, and .74" DFT (with head against base). Haven't skied too much yet, but I feel like the front binding needs to go back one hole. I am also going to throw the Animals back on there i think.

Re: DFT Measurement for 66" MPD

Alex,

Maybe that was a typo because I'm at 29.75", but I'm on a 68". For your 66" it should be closer to 28.75".

The fin numbers look reasonable

I would run 28 5/8 to 28 1/2 if possible with those settings.  Also, I would run closer to 2.490 with your depth.

That makes sense for the bindings, and thanks for the advice!!! You guys rock!
