Reflex binding setup

I picked up a reflex binding system this year after a bad ankle injury last year.  I've skied on it a few times with OK results.  Someone suggested moving the binding forward.  When I measured with the binding in the center holes, I was already way too far forward to meet the spec for my ski.   I'm running a 69.5 Monza, which should be 30 1/8.    I did one set today with the boots all the way back and it was a little better.  The second set I moved up one hole.  I measured when I got home and I'm 30 1/4 (at least) in the one hole from all the way back position

Are the holes on this binding set up because they are intended to be run further forward than other bindings?  These binding had virtually no docs included.
