acl reconstruction

Any of you guys had this done, and if so, how long and hard was the rehab? and how have you got on skiing after?

Had it done.  Wife too.  It's not horrible.  For me (30) it was 6 months till i was active.  Some have less time to recover....some more.  Depends on the doctor and therapist.  Do a patella graff.  Also, do yourself a favor and find a GOOD therapist that will push you.  Do it now and you could be skiing next year for sure.

I had mine done a few years back. Had the surgery (Patella graft) around Dec 22, and was on the water by the end of March. It was a lot of hard work, but was skiing pain-free.

My concern is that the amount of rehab required and frequency, when Im basically self employed. How did you guys fit it around your normal daily (work) routine?
