Re: Rossi runs 41 in practice on the new Radar Strada?

We are still working out the final changes to the 2010 Strada.  What you heard is true.  It was the first ride on this version of the ski.  It's fast, doesn't blow out, and has an off-side turn that will help skiers to run considerably more buoys.  I have not been this excited about a ski ever.  Look for it to be ready in the 66 size soon with other sizing following just after.

Chris - what is it about the offside on the Strada that makes it so good?
thanks,
Jim

Improvements to the offside turn, OH WOW, tough to improve on the RS-1 feel.

2008 MC PS197 with ZO upgrade with 2011 Radar Senate C 67" working to smoke that 36-28 consistently in any tourney.

I will reveal more when we are through this phase of testing.  Shape, concave, and bevels have been updated to offer a better platform to balance on.

Sweet! You're gonna make a case for a #1 IWSF ranking next year if you keep this up!

Re: Rossi runs 41 in practice on the new Radar Strada?

If Radar can make the off-side turn more forgiving that will result in more consistent off side turns that would be a very sweet ski. I cant wait to hear reviews. Im on the RS1 right now and think its a really nice design

chris can you tell us anymore now? Have been hearing of some people getting to demo the ski a little and really liking it. Also setting pbs on their first set!

Chris, I am on a 66" RS-1 now. What would you recommend as fin settings on  a 66"Strada.

Re: Rossi runs 41 in practice on the new Radar Strada?

I skied on an earlier modle and really enjoyed it.  The ski seemed very stable and held a great line off the 2nd wake.  The performance on the off side was a huge improvement from the RS-1.  I'm not sure what the fin setting were, but the heal of my front binding was 28 3/8 from the tail.  I think everyone on a RS-1 will like the improvements, I can't wait to get me hands on one!

Good to hear. I am excited about the improvement of the offside and hope to get one this summer. I can imagine a lot of RS-1 will be for sale this spring
Mbskier, what did you feel on the offside compared to the RS-1

Re: Rossi runs 41 in practice on the new Radar Strada?

The ski seemed to hold better angle off the second wake going into my off side.  Left foot forward skier.  The ski felt like you could ride the inside edge longer in the pre turn.  The finish of the turn was smoother, there was no hesitation or "bounce".  At the shorter line when I was late into the 4 ball it seemed I could make a hard turn and was back in the game.
